Advanta’s resident of the month for July has been awarded to Stuart McNab MBE from Willingdon.
Stuart has led the Eastbourne team as Station Officer of the Coastguard Rescue Service for the past 16 years. He joined the Coastguard Service in April 1991 when he relocated to Eastbourne from Newbury, becoming station officer in 1998.
He has over seen more than 500 cliff incidents and rescues at Beachy Head in addition to several hundred other maritime and beach incidents.
He has been awarded the MBE for his dedication and commitment to the Coastguard Rescue Service and is looking forward to meeting the Queen at Buckingham Palace to be presented with his medal.
The Resident of the Month Award was introduced to recognise unsung heroes in the local community and is jointly sponsored by Advanta Chartered Accountants and the Eastbourne Herald.
Malcolm Toghill was delighted to present Stuart with the Advanta Resident of the Month award for his services to the local community.
