Historic Old Town is the setting for the first ever Christmas street party and market tomorrow (Saturday December 8).
Crown Street and Star Road will be transformed into a winter wonderland for the seasonal event between 3-6pm.
There will be stalls selling craft items, jewellery, Christmas wreaths and garlands, cards, pictures, produce, fudge, wooden items and gift boxes.
Entertainment will be provided by local choirs, and a barrel organ, along with the Hunters Moon Morris Dancers, jugglers.
Father Christmas will also be taking time off from his busy schedule and seeing children in his grotto.
Cafés, Community Wise and public houses in the area will be open for a variety of refreshments.
One of the organisers Anne Angel said, “Visitors and residents can discover what the unique shops and businesses in the area have to offer.”
Organisers are warning however that there will be no available on street parking in the immediate area.

Tomorrow’s event is the first set up by a new group established to promote the historic Old Town area of Eastbourne.
The community group is made up of representatives of local businesses, historic attractions, and residents and supported by local councillors – all working together to promote the area’s excellent amenities and to give its own identity.
Earlier this year they got together and formed Historic Old Town which has gone from strength to strength with a number of projects planned.
An Historic Old Town leaflet and minimap has been launched with a map and free listings for local businesses in the area and funded the devolved budgets of both Old Town and Upperton Councillors.
It includes interesting historical facts of the area.
