A child was threatened by a cyclist as they walked along Pig Lane in Eastbourne with relatives.
The incident happened on June 18 at 4.40pm when two young women and a young child were verbally abused by the rider.
A cyclist walked past the group and aggressively told them to keep the child out of his way and threatened to hurt the child before cycling away.
PC Steve Austin said, “This was obviously a very distressing incident for the family involved, who although were not injured, were very shaken.
“This man is distinctive looking and we are confident someone will know who he is. He is described as white, in his early 40s, long dark blonde hair in dreadlocks and tied into a ponytail. He was tall and slim and spoke with a southern accent.
“He was wearing a light green sleeveless top and jeans wearing a black back pack with a bicycle wheel (minus the tyre) attached to it. He cycled into Hampden Park Hydneye estate.
“Anyone who has information about this man or the incident is asked to contact police on 101 quoting serial 1205 of 18/6.”
