An 11-year-old girl needed hospital treatment after she was hit by a car.

She was riding a bicycle on the pavement at the junction of Langney Rise and the entrance road to the Langney Shopping Centre, just before 1pm on Sunday (May 22).

Just past the service station, the youngster was in collision with a blue Vauxhall Mokka car – Sussex Police have revealed today (May 26).

She suffered minor injuries, but needed treatment at the DGH before being allowed home.

The car driver, a 71-year-old man, also from Eastbourne, was unhurt.

Anyone who saw what happened is asked to email collision.appeal@sussex.pnn.police.uk or call 101, quoting serial 715 of 22/05.
