EASTBOURNE College pupil Chayton Kent has been awarded a prized RAF Gliding Scholarship.
During the Easter holiday, Chayton will undertake a week-long course with 618 Gliding Squadron at RAF Odiham in Hampshire.
The goal is for him to attain his solo wings.
The scholarship means that his place on this sought-after course is entirely funded by the RAF.
The Eastbourne College Combined Cadet Force boasts 307 pupils, making it the largest CCF in the South East (excluding military schools).
