A HEARING loss charity volunteer has taken part in the Paralympic Torch Relay in recognition of her hard work.

Sabrina Holland, 22, from Stone Cross, was honoured for her dedicated volunteering for Action on Hearing Loss by being a torch bearer as the relay passes through Bushey, Hertfordshire.

Sabrina is one of Action on Hearing Loss’s most prolific volunteers in Sussex and helps promote the charity’s Loud Music campaign which is encouraging music lovers to protect their hearing when listening to music in pubs, clubs, gigs and festivals.

Sabrina said, “I’ve enjoyed every moment of my volunteering for Action on Hearing Loss and I’m delighted that it has been recognised by the organisers of the Paralympic Torch Relay. This was a once in a lifetime opportunity.”

Jane Bailey, from Action on Hearing Loss, said, “We’re delighted that Sabrina is being honoured for her tireless commitment in volunteering to encourage music lovers across Sussex to look after their hearing by wearing earplugs when listening to loud music.”
