With five weeks still to go to their third annual Grand Charity Dinner, the team at Hailsham-based Chalvington Group are grinning from ear to ear.
The last of the 180 tickets available for the event in aid of the Alzheimer’s Society South East has been sold.
Having outgrown the previous venue in Battle, the event finds itself at the Cavendish Hotel in Eastbourne for the first time on November 22 – and it promises to be bigger and better than ever.
Speaking about how plans for the evening were going, newly appointed managing director Claire Baker said, “The team have really pulled it out of the bag this year.
“We knew we needed a bigger location and the Cavendish is the perfect setting for everything we have planned.
“Our sponsors have been incredibly generous and the response to the tickets going on sale has been quite overwhelming.
“The entertainment is really going to be something special – we can’t wait to unveil it all to our guests on the night.”
Just as in previous years, attendees will be treated to a great mix of food, entertainment and goodies with an impressive array of lots for the live auction (presided over by guest auctioneer Alan Hobden of Stephen Rimmer LLP) and raffle prizes up for grabs.
Asked about what the attendees could expect from the evening, event spokesperson Amie Cook said, “Surprises, this year is all about the surprises. 2014 will be our biggest and our best yet.
“Those who have snapped up their seats in time will certainly have a night to remember. Initial figures for the charity are looking promising and I’m really looking forward to revealing our grand total in due course.”
This year’s event is sponsored by Gamma Telecom, Stephen Rimmer Associates LLP, CF Capital PLC, Trust Distribution Ltd, F-Secure, Exertis and Chalvington Group.
Elsewhere, a fashion show is being held at Wellshurst Golf Club in Hellingly tomorrow (Saturday).
The show, presented by Va Va Voom designs, will run from 2pm until 4pm at the North Street venue.
There will be special occasion dresses, party and prom dresses at low prices. Admission is £5 and refreshments will be provided.
