Beauty therapists are needed to volunteer at St Wilfrid’s Hospice to help women undergoing cancer treatment.
Look Good Feel Better (LGFB) is the only cancer support charity providing practical support for women and teenagers struggling with the visible side effects of cancer treatment.
Their confidence- boosting skincare and make-up workshops and masterclasses are held all over the UK and help teach women vital skills such as how to draw on missing eyebrows and eyelashes.
Every workshop and masterclass is run by a team of beauty volunteers, who take the women through a specially designed skincare and make-up regime. The LGFB service provides beneficiaries with vitally needed advice and support in a lively and fun atmosphere as well as the opportunity to meet other women in a similar situation.
Masterclasses are held regularly at St Wilfrid’s Hospice, Eastbourne, and the next one is on November 17 from 4pm to 6pm.
LGFB is urgently looking for beauty trained volunteers to help run this session and to support with future dates. If you or someone you know is trained in skincare and/or make-up and can spare a few hours to help boost the confidence of women going through cancer treatment, call Melissa on 01372 747 500 or email email@example.com or visit www.lookgoodfeelbetter.co.uk/volunteers
Look Good Feel Better was set up 22 years ago in the UK and annually supports around 17,500 women.
