Hailsham Sixth Form students were today (Thursday) celebrating the best set of A-Level results the college has seen in its history.
A total of 28.6 per cent of all grades awarded were A*-A with a fantastic 55.1 per cent of grades at A*-B.
In addition to this, the Sixth Form enjoyed a 100 per cent pass rate from all A2 results and BTEC awards.
Principal of Hailsham Community College, Phil Matthews, said, “These results are a testament to the hard work and commitment of our students and staff. The students’ success will allow them to move confidently on to the next stage of their lives, with more than ever progressing to university study.”
Students achieving particularly outstanding results include Michael Cullen (A*AA) who is to study Music at Cambridge University and Freddie Payne (A*A*AA) who will be attending Oxford University to study Maths and Philosophy. Also receiving superb grades were Matthew Thomas (A*BB), Lewis White (A*A*AC), Yazmyn Ellis (A*AB) and Imogen Forrester (A*A*A).
