People aged 50 and over will be offered professional advice on finding employment at a special event organised in partnership with Eastbourne Borough Council.

Following the success of a similar conference in May earlier this year, Activating Eastbourne are organising another half-day event on Friday November 30 at the International Lawn Tennis Centre aiming to give information and advice to local job seekers aged 50 and over.

The morning will include workshop sessions on: using IT in a job search; further training to aid job hunting; careers guidance and transferable skills; top advice on starting up your own business and the benefits of volunteering in job searching. There will also be a question and answer session with a panel and a number of helpful displays from local organisations.

The event is being organised by People Matter on behalf of Activating Eastbourne and is sponsored by Eastbourne Borough Council and The Eastbourne & District Chamber of Commerce Ltd.

Places on the conference are limited so early booking with two workshop choices is essential. To book a place or for more information phone People Matter on 431289.
