Nearly eighteen months into an ambitious expansion programme, Spectrum Managing Director Terry Weston, and co-Director Graham Peters are thrilled with the progress to date.
A year and a half ago Spectrum moved to dedicated premises in Battle and basically doubled the advice team with the addition of Geoff Fillery, Jeremy Over and Paul Leach. The new advisory team brought a mixture of clients and connections to Spectrum which has fuelled significant growth within the business.
Terry said, “Institutions like the banks withdrawing from the advisory market has left hundreds, if not thousands, of local individuals without access to sensible financial advice. However they have investments and products that require an ongoing service. This has helped our growth. The improvement in the housing market together with the growing impact of automatic enrolment which affects work place pension provision for local companies, has also had a significant impact on our business. There have also been one or two changes in the local independent advisory market which were unexpected but have fuelled some growth in our business”.
Director, Graham Peters, added “We have used the experience, expertise and ambitions of these new advisers to develop and evolve specialist “brands” to deal with specific client requirements. In each of these brands potential and existing clients will be serviced by experts in their chosen fields. Geoff Fillery (auto enrolment and work place pensions), Jeremy Over, (protection and long-term care), Paul Leach (equity release and mortgages) and Steve Opie (mortgages and financing) are all well-known local experts in their fields and have used these ambitions and desires to tailor their brands to their clients’ needs and their training plans to become the “go to” people locally”.
Terry added, “We at Spectrum are confident that we will have an expert available to deal with any clients’ underlying circumstances, needs or objectives.
