Business skills for children at the town’s Grand Hotel

Enterprising youngsters will enjoy the support of The Grand Hotel next month when the Junior Enterprise Challenge takes place at the nearby Congress Suite.

The initiative, organised by the Eastbourne Education Business Partnership, sees teams of five or six Year Four pupils from ten schools taking part.

They will be tasked with coming up with an Eastbourne branded range of complimentary toiletry items and container that might be found in local hotel or B&B accommodation.

The teams will take part in a business fair at the end of the morning to promote and sell their branded range to local hotel buyers. The Grand Hotel will be offering the children some inspiration with their range of Molton Brown Jonathan Webley, general Manager at the The Grand Hotel Eastbourne, said, “The Grand Hotel is always delighted to support initiatives such as the Junior Enterprise Challenge.

“We are working closely with the organisers and really look forward to meeting the youngsters, helping with this aspect of their learning – and also to seeing their creative ideas!”
