Taster session at the co-hub working space

EASTBOURNE’S first co-working space for freelancers is open for business and holding a taster session on Thursday.

The brainchild of Stuart and Laura Lambert, the co-hub has been set up at the The Enterprise Centre in Station Parade.

It has been designed to provide business space for independent workers and entrepreneurs from a range of business fields.

Early trials have attracted a long list of members and the organisers are now holding monthly free co-working events, known as #EBjelly, so people can see first hand the benefits.

One of the regulars, Justine Taylor, explained that cabin fever was the main motivation to try co-working.

“Working from home can be really distracting,” she said.

“I decided to try co-working and I find my time at co-hub really productive, and there is also the opportunity to chat with people, which - as much as I love being a freelancer - was something about office work that I missed.”
