Driving local needs

Business relationships are important tothe Birchwood Group motor dealership and a new appointment within the company reflects its commitment to strengthening community ties.

Kevin Edwards has taken on the role of business relations manager and will be introducing himself to owners, directors and managers over the next few weeks.

He will be available to help anyone considering buying new vehicles or deciding service needs.

Kevin will be equally pleased to talk about transport challenges facing individual businesses whether experienced by a one-man band or a firm running a fleet of vehicles.

He can help save precious working hours by going to potential customers rather than them coming to him.

Birchwood has sites at Eastbourne, Worthing, Bexhill, Hastings and Halland and supplies a wide variety of vehicles including Ford, Suzuki, Mazda and Skoda.

They offer servicing, contract hire, leasing, hire purchase and sales of vehicles.

A wealth of expertise in sales and servicing has been cultivated across the group and Kevin will be the link between the dealership and business customers.

Kevin, aged 45, lives in Willingdon and has rejoined Birchwood after a three-year break. He used to be sales manager at Bexhill.

He is a specialist in business to business relationships and a member of the Eastbourne Pier BNI (Business Networking International) and the Eastbourne Chamber of Commerce.

He is looking forward to learning about customers' businesses and vehicle needs so that if they need help in the future he will be well prepared to advise them.

Vehicles can be built to a customer's specification and sign-writing can be arranged before delivery.

""We aim to offer a personal service to businesses," said Kevin.

"We are strong believers in networking and in keeping business local."

Birchwood operations director Pete Parker said he was very pleased to welcome Kevin. "He was well known in the local business community and will be a great asset.

"It is important that we offer support and guidance to businesses right from the start, help them select the right product and then support their ongoing motoring needs through our excellent service departments.

"We respect the fact that livelihoods depend on business vehicles staying on the road.

"Our highly trained technicians, using manufacturers' diagnostic equipment, enable us to do that and we tailor service packages to individual needs."

Kevin added: "It is really important to get the right choice of vehicle for a customer. They need the right deal and the right specification."

If you would like to contact Kevin please call him on 07787 256637 or email him at kevin.edwards@birchwoodford.co.uk
