Breaking news: Police name cyclist killed in crash

A 66-year-old cyclist, who was killed after being in collision with a car in Eastbourne on Tuesday (December 29), has been named.

Sussex Police say the man was Nigel Flux, who lived in Cobbold Avenue, Eastbourne.

Emergency services were called to the scene in Victoria Drive shortly before 3pm following the collision, which involved a black BMW 525 D Sport.

Mr Flux sadly died at the scene.

A 47-year-old man from Eastbourne was arrested at the scene on suspicion of causing death by careless or inconsiderate driving.

He was later released on police bail until March 23.
