Police have arrested a woman in her 70s on suspicon of murder after the death of a man at Seven Sisters Country Park in the early hours of this morning (Friday, September 6).

The man was also in his 70s.

Detective Sergeant Dave Tye sai, “We believe that the man and woman are known to each other and we do not believe that there was anyone else involved in this incident.

“To help us with our investigations we have closed a section of the Seven Sisters Country Park, along with the car park at Exceat. I’d like to thank users of the park for their patience and understanding at this time.”

The car park at Exceat has been closed, along with the park to the east side of the old river meanders. The car park at Litlington remains open, along with the park’s visitor centre.
