Fire crews from across Sussex are currently tackling a fire at a house in Seaford this evening (Sunday).

The blaze broke out shortly before 7pm at a property in Pelham Road.

Six fire engines from from Seaford, Newhaven, Barcombe and Eastbourne as well as the Aerial Ladder Platform from Brighton are at the scene.

A spokesperson for East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service said, “The cause is currently unknown, however everyone is accounted for and there are no reported injuries.

“A fire investigation will commence in due course to ascertain the cause of fire. The Fire Victim Support unit is also in attendance.”
