Eastbourne author Alex Askaroff has published his eighth book – a compilation of true local stories told by the people who lived them.
Have I Got A Story For You continues in the same vein as the others, a collection of tales written in Alex’s own style.
Alex said, “Although they are local stories my previous books have found a world-wide following which surprised me as much as anyone.
“My books have sold in more than 40 countries around the globe and all the time that I have a growing readership which seems to enjoy my work, the stories will keep coming.”
One reviewer said, “We all love stories, and in Alex Askaroff’s eighth book he continues with his fascinating travels around the south east of England, collecting more hilarious and enchanting tales as he goes.
“Some will make you laugh, some will make you cry, but all will have you captivated.
“Once again Alex brings his unique magic to the page and captures England, its history and its people, as only he can.”
Alex, who is one of six boys, studied engineering, became a self-employed engineer and after many years became a master craftsman running his own specialised business in sewing machinery. He still lives in his hometown of Eastbourne with his wife and children.
“I carry on the trade that I grew up with around the rural south east corner of England collecting fascinating stories along the way,” he said.
Previous books penned by Alex include Tales from the Coast, Have I got a Story for You, Patches of Heaven, Skylark Country and High Streets and Hedgerows.
