Bomb squad in Eastbourne

Bomb disposal teams were called to a street in Eastbourne this afternoon (Sunday, April 22).

A resident reportedly came across a grenade-shaped object in his garden in Drake Avenue.

Police were called at around noon before the MoD was informed.

Bomb disposal teams then took away the object for further examination.
