A home in Alfriston was seriously damaged after a blaze broke out at the property in the early hours of Saturday morning.
Four fire crews attended Kings Ride following reports of a fire shortly after 5am. Two teams from Eastbourne and a crew from Hailsham and Seaford went to the scene, along with a control unit from Lewes.
The blaze spread across both floors of the two storey detached home.
South East Coast Ambulance Service (SECAMB) also attended the scene and sent two ambulances, a clinician and its Hazardous Area Response Team (HART).
A spokesman for SECAMB said no-one received any treatment but that the team stayed on the scene to support the fire service for some time. The ambulances and clinician left at 6.30am, followed by the HART at 7am.
The last fire crew left at 10am.
