Sam Jones from the TV’s Britain’s Got Talent, complete with his ventriloquist act and magic show, will head the entertainment at this Saturday’s Shinewater Fun Day at Shinewater Park.
The Fun Day boasts schoolchildren from Shinewater Primary, West Rise Junior and Langney Primary performing and demonstrating their archaeology work, as well as dance groups, free fishing coaching led by The Environment Agency, miniature railway, pony rides and fairground rides, a Novelty Dog Show and a tug-o-war.
Fun Day Chair, Councillor Alan Shuttleworth said, “This will be our biggest and best Fun Day with all the usual family fun as well as a Bronze Age Festival which will be led by the Eastbourne Museums service. We have tried to include something for all ages.”
Come along and discover what was found buried beneath the ground at Shinewater. Look at some of the artefacts, and watch the schoolchildren demonstrate ancient crafts, and take part in an archery contest.
The event will be opened by the Mayor, Councillor Janet Coles, at 12.20pm, followed by a Junior Parkrun, Baby and Toddler competitions and an ‘Eastbourne’s Got Talent Show’. Just turn up and enter on the day.
