Asda Hailsham gives local charity a boost with cheque

Asda Hailsham handed over a cheque for £350 to a local charity.

The Charles Hunt Centre offers support to elderly people and supermarket staff decided to raise funds for the good cause by holding a party at the Kings Arms in Eastbourne.

The pub gave the venue for free and laid on a buffet as well.

Tickets for the party cost £5 and this and raffle funds helped raise money for the Charles Hunt Centre.

The Charles Hunt Centre aim is to provide amenities for people aged over 55.

It is a social club and among its facilities offers cooked lunches, chiropody, nail care, hairdresser and a charity shop.
