Police have arrested a man after a 36-year-old was found with a stab wound to his head in Eastbourne town centre yesterday (Monday May 6) evening.
Police and emergency services were called to a flat in Cavendish Place at 11.24pm following reports that a man was trying to kick the door down.
On arrival officers found a man with a stab wound to his head. He was taken to the DGH where he was treated and has since been discharged.
A 33-year-old local man has been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm.
Detective Constable Phil Cracknell from East Sussex CID said, “We believe the victim and suspect are known to each other and we are in the early stages of the investigation in order to find out what led up to the assault.
