All eyes will be on the skies this coming fortnight as Eastbourne prepares to mark Guy Fawkes Night with a series of firework displays across the town.
After last year’s success, West Rise Community Junior School will again host their firework spectacular on Friday, November 8 (7pm).
The event promises a £3,000 firework show, set off by a professional company, a beer tent and plenty of other refreshment stalls to keep guests contented.
In 2012, more than 1,000 people attended the display, which raised money to look after the school’s water buffalo.
This time, funds will go towards West Rise Marsh, which is leased as part of the school grounds and hosts plenty of outdoor learning activities. The area is open to the public all year round and is where the firework show will take place.
The event is kindly sponsored by Sussex Cars and Sussex Bacon. Tickets cost £10 for a family of four or £3 if bought individually. They can be purchased from the Junior School office or Alex Richards.
The Saffrons Sports Ground will host their annual event on Tuesday, November 5, with gates opening at 6pm.
The firework display will start at 7.30pm and tickets cost £5 for adults, £3 for children of £14 for a family ticket of two adults and two children.
The St. Thomas a Becket Infant and Junior School’s annual firework party will go ahead on Friday, November 8, with gates opening at 6pm and the show set to begin at 7.30pm. There will be a disco, children’s entertainer, licensed bar and stalls selling hot food and sweets.
Tickets are available to buy from the school office at the price of £5 per person, £18 per family or group of four and £22 for a family or group of five.
