AN ANGLER hopes to raise £1,000 for a very worthwhile charity through a fishing trip to France.

Sabrina Wood, who is the practice manager and a dental nurse at the Dental Barn, in Upper Dicker, is setting off to the Moorland Fishery, based in the Burgundy region of France, to raise money for the Dreams Come True children’s charity.

The charity literally makes dreams come true for seriously and terminally ill children across the country.

Sabrina is a member of the Dream Team, a squad of 16 crack carp anglers who are going to Burgundy at the end of this month.

She said, “I’m the only woman this year to be chosen and hope that with this great team we can raise a huge amount of money for this amazing charity.”

Sabrina has already raised more than £600 for the charity but is keen to reach her target of £1,000.

Alison Thompson, the owner of The Dental Barn, said, “We are all very proud of Sabrina and her charity work and to show our support we are donating £1 for every patient seen throughout March.”
