Ambulance called after man falls down steps in mobility scooter outside Eastbourne pub

An ambulance has been called to Eastbourne town centre after an elderly man’s mobility scooter tumbled down steps outside a pub.

The 72-year-old man, who is in Eastbourne with friends on a day trip from Balham in London, was riding out of the Duke of Devonshire pub in Terminus Road when his scooter fell down three steps.

He is currently being treated at the scene by paramedics.
