AIRBOURNE organisers are asking local producers to help the festival fly high by taking part in a mini Sussex market.
The free four-day festival of flight takes place from August 11-14 and is already popular with national exhibitors who use the event to market their products.
But Eastbourne Borough Council’s tourism team wants to offer visitors a taste of Sussex with a local produce market lining the promenade next to the Wish Tower.
Sussex producers are being invited to use the event to showcase their locally sourced and made food, drink and crafts with stalls available for £25 per day.
Eastbourne Borough Council Cabinet Member for Tourism Neil Stanley said “We are very excited to build on the success of Airbourne 2010, which included a small selection of local food and drink stalls that were really well received.
“I really hope that local producers will take advantage of bringing their food and drink to Airbourne 2011 and offer the hundreds and thousands of visitors who come from across the globe, the chance to enjoy a real taste of Sussex.”
