The threatened storms finally turned up as Eastbourne was treated to some thunder, lightning and rain last night.

Photographer Adam Barnes took this stunning photo of the sunrise on what is predicted to be the hottest day of the year so far (today, Friday).

Adam said, “Almost didn’t bother getting up at 4am but with the chance of some dramatic light and stormy weather I decided to get out, beautiful golden sunrise with the stormy moody weather approaching Eastbourne.”
