SOME natty night-wear was on show at a special fundraising event in Eastbourne on Saturday (September 22).
The Jim Jam walk featured a panoply of pyjamas in a myriad of styles, shapes and colours, as 440 walkers took to the streets and the seafront, in aid of St Wilfrid’s Hospice.
The event started at Eastbourne College where walkers and runners limbered up on College Field with an energetic warm-up.
JimJam organiser Jenna Stringer was delighted with the support received from the community, staff and volunteers and hopeful that the event will raise in excess of £15,000. The money raised will go towards Campaign Hospice Reach which includes furnishing and equipping the new Hospice and aims to raise £5.3 million over the next two years to help transform end of life care for every person in our community.
