Woman arrested after accident

A LOCAL woman has been remanded in custody after a crash involving a two-year-old girl.
The smash, which caused the toddler very serious injuries, occurred at the junction of Susan's Road and Tideswell Road on Friday afternoon (May 9).
Emergency services were called to the scene at around 5.20pm.
Police officers found the two-year-old had been struck by a white Renault van.
The driver of the vehicle was arrested and remanded in custody and the child has been transferred to a London hospital.
Sussex Police are appealing for witnesses and ask anyone who saw the crash to call 0845 60 70 999, quoting Operation Kingsbury.
