EASTBOURNE is hoping to attract film buffs by listing locations used in movies and television programmes in the new holiday guide.

The release of the teen flick had fans visiting the town.
Councillor Steve Wallis, tourism spokesman, said, "The cinema release of Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging was very exciting for Eastbourne with lots of interest from film fans desperate to see the locations featured on the big screen."
He also said 2009 would be a busy year of filming in the town and the council was hoping to attract more television producers and film-makers to Eastbourne.
This year the town's Holiday Guide contains a brand new spread, Eastbourne in the Movies to maximise on the resort's growing success as a film destination.
Highlighting major movies including Robin Hood, James Bond and Harry Potter as well as household names such as England's World Cup Rugby Squad, Miss Marple and French and Saunders.

The biggest deterrent to holidaying in Eastbourne is the parking tax robbery! These sound like the same idiot 'tourist bosses' who decided to charge for last year's Airbourne and lost the taxpayer three hundred grand. Surprised they're still in their jobs!

I am surprised that Cocoon wasn't filmed in Eastbourne.
