THOUSANDS of visitors turned out to view more than 400 vehicles exhibited at this year's Magnificent Motors.
The event, which was on May 3 and 4, started each day with a vehicle cavalcade along the entire length of the seafront, and classic cars, motorbikes, buses, steam traction engines, commercial and military vehicles were on display on Eastbourne's promenade and seafront.
The event was organised by Eastbourne Borough Council, which introduced competitions to be judged
in the new arena, a special area cordoned off for
commentated motor displays and prize presentations.
Exhibitors were encouraged to make the most of the festival atmosphere and had the chance to enter two competitions – top gear for the year fancy dress,
and tailgate picnic – with prizes awarded for the most imaginative picnic served from the boot of a vehicle.
There was also funfair rides, space to chill out in the beer tent and music from the Magnificent Motors stage.
