SALVATION Army Majors Gillian and Stuart Dicker are leaving Eastbourne this month after five years at the helm of the Langney Road citadel.

The couple are moving to the Salvation Army in Hadleigh in Essex.
During their time in Eastbourne, Gillian and Stuart have seen the church grow along with the hot meal and shower service it provides to Eastbourne's homeless population.
Major Stuart Dicker said, "There are many things that will be long lasting memories of our time in Eastbourne.
"It has been good to be involved with so many people and their families and Gillian has enjoyed meeting people in the pubs and clubs while delivering the War Cry newspaper and working in Bourne School on a weekly basis.
"The establishment of the homeless work has taken a lot of our time but has been a very enjoyable and fulfilling part of our lives."
A party is planned for the couple this weekend and on Sunday there will be a farewell service at 6pm in the citadel in Langney Road.
The Dickers will be replaced by David and Linda Squirrell from south London who will move to Eastbourne in August.
