A ROYAL Mail worker accused of stealing post has appeared in court and denied the charges against him.

Richard Knowles, of Pride View, Westham, faces three counts of stealing mail, including greetings cards, and one charge of delaying or opening postal packets.
The 32-year-old is accused of committing the offences on November 6 but pleaded not guilty when he appeared before the town's magistrates on Friday.
Knowles elected a crown court trial but will next appear at Eastbourne Magistrates Court on June 27.
He was granted unconditional bail.
