CLUBBERS dressed up as Smurfs for a fundraising world record attempt at Atlantis Nightclub on Eastbourne pier.
The fancy dress event was in aid of Children in Need and hundreds attended the party.

Staff at Atlantis were hoping to beat the world record of 1,200 people dressed as Smurfs but they fell short on the numbers.

It is hoped around £2,000 has been raised for charity but event organisers are still counting the money.

The management team at Eastbourne pier has thanked Brighton University students for supporting the event.
