AbseilTHE PRESIDENT of the Rotary Club of Eastbourne will be abseiling down the Congress Theatre to raise charity cash on April 6.
Bob Hamblyn has been challenged to raise money for the Make-a-Wish Foundation during his year in office.
And Bob has decided to invite members of the public to join him. Intrepid fundraisers who take up his challenge may either donate the monies raised by their participation to Make-a-Wish, or split it 50-50 with the charity and another local charity of their choice.

Mikes neededTHE JUNCTION Tavern is desperately seeking some radio mikes to make sure its fundraising panto is enjoyed by as many people as possible.
The pub holds an annual panto and this year proceeds will be going to Children with Cancer. Last year £4,000 was raised, and this year the performances have been boosted to three days, so pub bosses are aiming for up to £6,000.
The panto will be staged in April.

Pub pantoREGULARS at a pub in Polegate are performing a panto to raise money for the Children with Cancer Fund.
The panto, Is Cinderella Bovvered, is being performed at Junction Tavern, on Station Road, and is only for people aged 18 or over.
There will be two acts performing a striptease, Fake That and Spice Gurls, and there are performances on Friday, April 4 at 8pm, April 5 at 8pm and April 6 at 4pm. Tickets cost £5 and can be bought from Junction Tavern.
Easter partyEASTBOURNE and District National Childbirth Trust (NCT) is holding an Easter Party on April 5 (2pm-4pm) at St John's church hall, Polegate.
There will be a special appearance by Claire's Farmyard Animals with sheep, pygmy goats, rabbits and guineapigs for the children to handle and stroke.
There may also be some lambs, piglets and chicks — if they have been born in time — plus, a bouncy castle, book corner, Easter Bonnet competition, Easter egg hunt, colouring and crafts as well as cakes and refreshments.

Nearly newA CHARITY nearly new sale and coffee morning will be held at Westham Village Hall on March 29.
Various stalls, refreshments and a raffle will be on offer between 10am and 12noon.
All proceeds go to Agape Family Care Trust, a charity working to provide housing for severely disabled young people.
Admission is 50p and a cup of coffee is included.
