PEOPLE affected by cancer in Eastbourne can now get specialist hair care advice under a new partnership launched by Toni and Guy with Macmillan Cancer Support.
Strength in Style has been launched to offer men, women and children affected by cancer specialist support and advice on hair care.
The Cornfield Road Toni and Guy salon is one of 50 across the UK to offer the service.

Manager Mark Collins said,
"We've learnt that for some people, hair loss can be one of the hardest parts of cancer treatment so we're very excited to be able to offer the best hair care advice and support for people affected by cancer."

Salon staff have had intensive training covering everything a stylist needs to know about speaking to people affected by cancer, ensuring they can deal with the emotional and practical issues surrounding the sensitive nature of hair loss and the effects of treatment on hair and wig styling and cutting.

Sally Hill from Macmillan Cancer Support said, "Hair loss can have a really devastating impact on people going through cancer treatment and the relationship between a person and their hairdresser is extremely personal. This is why we are very excited about our new partnership with Toni and Guy.

"Strength in Style will help us improve the lives of people affected by cancer by giving them the strength and confidence to have more good days."

Staff in the Eastbourne salon will also be fundraising throughout the year to raise money to help Macmillan reach and improve the lives of even more people affected by cancer.

Macmillan provides essential information, expert medical care, financial help and emotional support for people diagnosed with cancer, as well as their family and carers.
