Music hall finale for Victorian Festival

THERE are still plenty of events to enjoy in the town's Victorian Festival before it draws to a close on Saturday night with a Music Hall event at the Royal Hippodrome Theatre.
There has been a right royal programme of activities throughout the week folllowing the launch on Saturday.

The Empress of India will be on at the Under Ground Theatre today (Friday) at 2.30pm and 7.30pm, with extracts from letters, diaries and ey
e witness accounts from the 1600s down to Independence in 1947.

Secrets from the Antiques Roadshow will be revealed in Have You Had It Long, Madam? tomorrow (Saturday) at 4.30pm, in All Saints Chapel.

Hilary Kay and Paul Atterbury, two of the show's experts, will be talking about their hilarious experiences. Tickets cost £9, call 412000.

There's lots to keep the youngsters busy, too, as the festival celebrates its fifth birthday. Keen young footballers will take part in a special tournament at Eastbourne Borough Football Club's home ground, Priory Lane, tomorrow with teams from across the area all battling it out for the Victoria Cup.

And to top the week off, the Royal Hippodrome Theatre will stage this year's Musical Hall under the direction of Sir David Buck tomorrow (Saturday).
