Man stabbed in town centre park

A BUSY town centre park was cordoned off on Wednesday lunchtime after a man was stabbed.
Police officers and ambulance crews rushed to St Anne's Park in The Avenue after a report a man had received stab wounds.
A man in his 30s was rushed to Eastbourne District General Hospital
A police spokesperson said, "At 12.50 this afternoon Eastbourne Police were called to St Anne's Road, Eastbourne, following reports that a man was injured, believed to be stab wounds.
"The area has been cordoned off and a police investigation has commenced."
Police are now appealing for witnesses to contact Eastbourne CID on 0845 60 70 999 quoting serial 753 of October 1.
