A RETIRED carpenter has died after falling from the first-floor window of his home in Whitley Road.
George Boniface, 79, was found by his wife after a fall from his bedroom. It is believed he may have become dizzy while looking out of the window to check the weather.

Police were called to the property on Monday at 10.17am and said Mr Boniface had sustained head injuries. There will be an inquest into his death.

In his retirement, Mr Boniface had enjoyed creating oil paintings and had an artist's workshop at the bottom of his garden. He had produced many landscapes and enjoyed painting members of the Royal Family, including Diana, Princess of Wales.
