HOLIDAYMAKERS left out of pocket following the cancellation of two coach trips by a local company should contact Trading Standards.
Last month Eastbourne Coach Tours cancelled a trip to Blackpool and a QE2 Farewell trip.

Eastbourne resident Margaret Masters, who had booked to go to Blackpool for her 50th birthday, said she had paid £200 for the four-day trip.

A spokesman fr
om the company explained there had been a mix-up with the hotel booking in Blackpool and he told the Herald Eastbourne Coach Tours was in the process of contacting all customers.

However, many customers say they have not heard from Eastbourne Coach Tours despite promises that everyone would be given a full refund.

Many have tried to contact the coach company but its Hampden Park office is closed and the phone number is no longer in use.

Tom Cook, fair trading officer at East Sussex County Council's Trading Standards, said, "I have spoken with Eastbourne Coach Tours and it is unable to meet its obligations on two coach trips, one to Blackpool in October and a QE2 tour in November.

"The company has said it will ensure that everyone who made any advance payments will get a full refund.

"Unfortunately they do not have contact details for everyone concerned, so anyone seeking a refund relating to these trips can contact Trading Standards on 463420."
