Lifeboat launched to rescue dinghy

THE LIFEBOAT was launched on Bank Holiday Monday after two young people were believed to have drifted out to sea in a small inflatable dinghy from the beach at Pevensey bay.
The Eastbourne Inshore Lifeboat with a crew of three was launched just after 2pm but following a search of the area, the dinghy and its occupants was found to have returned to the beach safely.
