EASTBOURNE'S all weather lifeboat was launched late on Friday night to go to the rescue of a sailing boat in trouble off the coast.

The 32-foot sailing boat with a crew of two had a fishing net entangled around its propeller.
A crew of seven lifeboat men were onboard the lifeboat and went to the aid of the boat which was 16 miles south west of Sovereign Harbour.
The boat was towed back to the harbour by the lifeboat.
On Sunday morning both
the inshore and all weather lifeboats were called out to assist coastguard teams recovering a
body from
the foot of the cliffs at Beachy Head.
