A HERALD reader captured this unusual picture of Hampden Park wildlife on Wednesday.
The naked men were spotted outside Eastbourne Rugby Club, though the Herald understands the club has no plans to introduce a nudist XV.

The explanation is thought to involve the town's student fraternity... and an initiation rite for sporting 'freshers'.

The stunt appears not to have upset other park users. Eastbourne police
reported no complaints.

It is not surprising that there were no complaints. Few people have any great problem with straight forward nudity these days.

I can't be certain without knowing more about the circumstances but it is unlikely that they were committing any offense. The law still lags behind modern attitudes but it has changed.
