STAFF at Sussex Downs College have been included in a nationwide practice project which resulted in a book being published.
Angela Wooller and Lyndsay Pearce, Skills for Life Workplace Projects and Train to Gain Coordinators were part of the scheme which led to the publication of 'Making it Work: a practical guide to effective delivery of Skills for Life workplace learning'.
Angela said, "It was a great project to be working on. We work in a big college, and sometimes we don't get to meet every department.
"This project meant that Lyndsay and myself met some fantastic people from different departments across the college in both Eastbourne and Lewes, all who worked on this publication with us, meaning our work is now relevant and useful in many different employment sectors.
The NVQ assessors in all these different sectors have been great to work with.
"We were recommended to take part because we impressed the National Institute of Adult Continuing Education (NIACE) with our current delivery methods and are the only Skills for Life providers in the county to have been included. It is nice to be recognised for the work that we do as a college."
