A Langney man is preparing to run the London Marathon next month to raise money for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust.
Colin Hanks, of Deanwood Close, ran the Eastbourne half marathon in one hour and 50 minutes and is donning his running shoes in the capital on April 13.

The 40-year-old is hoping to raise money for those affected by the UK's most common, life threatening inherited disease that claims three young lives a week in the UK.

Colin, who has not run a full marathon before, said, "This will be a real challenge for me but the knowledge I will be raising funds to help see off cystic fibrosis will really spur me on to the finish line.

"Then I will be able to have my first pint of lager since January."
