THE RAF will be flying and marching into town on May 17 for a unique family fun day.
A Chinook helicopter will touch down at the Eastbourne Rugby Football Club grounds in Park Avenue, where visitors will get the rare opportunity to look around the aircraft.
Two RAF marching bands will set the atmosphere as the Eastbourne Rugby Football Club XV team takes on the sporting skills of an RAF team.
Junior games will also be held between Eastbourne Rugby Club and local school teams.
This fundraising day for the club, starting at 11.30am, is the only one of its kind in the south east.
As well as the rare opportunity to get close to the Chinook, there will be plenty of other exciting attractions at the unique event guaranteed to keep the whole family entertained.
These include a mini funfair, climbing wall, bouncy castles, face painting, rugby kicking competition to win a car and a large number of market stalls selling a wide range of products.
Eastbourne Mayor Councillor Mary Pooley and a number of senior RAF personnel will be attending.
