THE achievements of the African community in Eastbourne are to be celebrated at the end of October as part of Black History Month.
Organisers are appealing for people to get involved.
Eastbourne Cultural Communities Network (ECCN) and One Africa propose to hold an event with displays of African-related art, sculpture, carvings, artefacts, information promoting local businesses and presentations by local people.
There will also be a fashion show, music and food.
As a preliminary, the organisations want people to share their knowledge, experience, music, stories or poems at Marylyn's Bar on Grove Road at 7pm on Tuesday (29 September).
