THE MANAGER of Seaford Wasps football team handed over a cheque for £610 to charity.
Ian Sewell and fellow colleagues at Whitehawk Bus Garage have been raising funds for the Children With Cancer Fund, which is based in Polegate.
The bus driver and his workmates raised the cash after donating money to the charity instead of sending Christmas cards to each other.
Ian, 42, said, "A relative got involved with the Children With Cancer Fund and thought it would be a good idea to involve the staff at work and raise money for a good cause. It's a lovely charity."
Last year Whitehawk Bus Garage also raised funds for the charity, which aims to raise money and distribute it to causes that are associated with children up to the age of 18 who live locally and have had or are suffering from a form of cancer.
