Brufords raid: Man in court

A 24-YEAR-OLD man has appeared in court in connection with a smash and grab raid at Brufords Jewellers in Cornfield Road in January.

Thomas Michael Loring, who is serving time at Dorchester prison, appeared before Eastbourne magistrates on Monday.
Loring entered no plea to two counts of burglary and theft of goods worth £212,000 and £172,070.
He was remanded in custody until his next court appearance on May 27.
